The Vihtavuori N340 Powder series are single base porous handgun powders. The N340, also known as 3N18, is a genuine multipurpose powder that was initially designed for 9mm and shotshell ammunition. This pistol powder is one of the most popular powders in the Vihtavuori N300 family, and it can be used for a broad range of calibers and bullet weights, making it the ideal reloading partner.

The N340 is mostly utilized for medium and large caliber handguns, as well as shotshells with medium and heavy loads. N340 is a tubular powder having grain size of 1.0mm in length and 0.08mm in diameter.

The grain size is the same as with powder N320, N330, and N350; the only difference is the porosity of the powder. The N340 burns at the medium scale of Vihtavuori handgun powders, and as with powder N320, highly clean burning with no residuals is assured.
